Operator Madness — a daily geography game where you find the caller
Someone calls for help and cannot tell you where they are. You are the dispatcher. Ask what they can see — a street sign, a bridge, which way the river runs — match it to the map, and drop a pin. Your score is the distance in metres between your pin and the caller.
How to play
- Take the call and ask for clues.
- Read the map. Zoom in for street names — no local knowledge needed.
- Drop a pin and lock it. Closest wins.
Why it is different from other geography games
There is no street view to recognise. The location has to be deduced from a conversation, which makes it a detective puzzle with a map attached. Free, no signup, playable on a phone, and a new city every day — past cities stay open in the archive.
The calls are fiction. The places are real. Nothing here reaches a real emergency service — in a real emergency, call your local emergency number.
